I am a second generation Greek. I have had souvlaki in many places around the world and in Greece. I believe, that this gift of simple food, was born in this souvlaki temple. As it was copied, it retained it's shape but lost it's essence. This is where it still survives, as it was intended to be. Finally, the answer to Shakespeare's famous question.

I am seeing a lot of complaints about waiting time, but all good things come to those who wait, and this meal was certainly worth the 20 minutes we waited.

In this town they have this tradition to eat a combination of souvlaki pork, cheese and a kind of fried pita bread. This place offer only this.. and alcohol and soft drinks. Nothing more nothing less. It is always good to go to places that specialises in one thing and this business runs for many years.

Traditional, tasty, fast, cheap. Although the pork souvlaki is the traditional, I had the pork belly which was very good. Great tzatziki too

One of my favorite spots in Southern Greece. A very original tavern where you can only eat the traditional tripleta: fried natural sourdough pizza, pork souvlaki, hard goat cheese. Just delicious. The room is quite a bouzouki museum with old fashioned tables and forniture
"tripleta", Traditional recipe, must taste it, is the Best.

We stopped in Gytheio for lunch on our way to Monemvasia. We happened upon this place, which seems family-run and had few tourists. Crowded and welcoming atmosphere. The service was friendly. Not a lot of options here. We went for the house specialty which is a deep-fried pita served with skewered meat and a piece of cheese. Greek salad to start. Delicious, inexpensive and filling.

This place has awesome decoration and atmosphere. The triple formula with pita, cheese and meat is more than enough for a meal and very inexpensive. Service is smiling though not always fluent in English. Definitely would recommend.

The most Authentic Tripleta with delicious souvlaki barbecued on coals the original way! Pita and cheese delicious. It is a must to visit and you will be surprised with all the wise quotes you will find on the wall this place is a gem !
